Feb. 18--President Bush, in Florida to raise cash for his party, said Friday that more international troops are needed to stop genocide in Darfur. "We need more troops," Bush said after a Tampa speech. "And so I'm in the process now of working with a variety of folks . . . probably under the United Nations. But it's going to require, I think, a NATO stewardship, planning, facilitating, organizing -- probably double the number of peacekeepers that are there now." Later, with about 900 party faithful cheering him on at Walt Disney World's Contemporary Resort, Bush touted his party's agenda and raised about $2.5 million to help Republican state campaigns this election year.
