NSW: 41 homes feared lost in bushfires and weather getting worse
Firefighters in New South Wales are bracing for horrific weather conditions with atleast 41 homes feared destroyed in four days of raging bushfires in the state.
The Rural Fire Service says winds are due to pick up again today and temperatures will rise.
Last night the RFS said the 4,500 firefighters had no hope of mopping up more the than80 fires burning throughout the state.
No homes were lost yesterday, but the Rural Fire Service has doubled its estimate ofthe number of houses destroyed last week, as firefighters have entered previously inaccessibleregions.
It says at least 36 homes were burned down by a bushfire stretching from Cattai inSydney's north-west to Brooklyn in the north.
